You got prediction number 1 right about Gagne…..Now, it’s time for your prediction #2 about Russel Branyon to come true…The only thing about platooning Hall that gives me the ibeegeebees is Hall on the bench when the Brewers are playing defense. I’m not gonna even look at any numbers because statistics are liars sometimes…Bill Hall is a superb infielder…Heck, he was on his way to being a superb centerfielder…..
Anyway, and about your third prediction regarding commander and chief yost….did you hear what he said when asked about the Gagne situation? It was a classic.
Yost said something like…”It’s real simple. I’m not gonna tell you because it’s none of your business.” And then he added that he didn’t want to say because he didn’t want other teams to have an edge over him.
I can see it know…Ned Yost walks out to the mound, calls time to make a pitching change and makes the first ever no look call to the pen….and the next day, he fakes with his left and makes a call to the right….while the opposing manager sits dumbfounded by Ned’s genius….Who woulda ever thunk it would be Mota when Ned first fake called for Shouse?
Sorry to see you didn’t write a Division Review this week. That’s how I found your blog & it’s one of the reasons I still visit.
I apologize Astros fan. I was busy Thursday night and Friday, so I was unable to piece one together. Don’t worry, the feature will still be running.
At what point does offense okay to sacrifice defense? Gamel is impressing a lot of folks and he hasn’t had an error in about two weeks which is big progress for that guy. The most impressive thing about the Crew right now though is that if you toss out Gagne the bullpen has given up 2 runs in its last 21 innings. Hoo ah!
